Reviews of Waterberg Wilderness Lodge in Waterburg Namibia

I stayed here for a night and did not explore or take part in any activities.

The rate for a bed and breakfast room is way too expensive; the staff was professional and friendly.

The lodge only signage is on the final turn to the lodge which is an hour’s drive to the lodge, so ask for clear directions or a map before departure.

The chalets are airy, comfortable and clean, there is no self-catering at the chalets which leaves one solely dependent on the restaurant, the food lacked imagination and creativity it was just empty. The scenery of this place is rich in flora and fauna.

We spontaneously chose this campsite over the NWR one because of its intimacy, the sites are impressive each with a braai area and a small shelter and a private restroom with a hot shower/flush toilet.

We would have loved to sample their food but we were told that the restaurant is available for the lodge guests only when it’s not full will the campers be allowed to dine there.

The shop by the campsite closed way before its stipulated closing time, we needed to stock up on some supplies, and the trails around the lodge are marvellous.
