Reviews of Hotel Heinitzburg in Windhoek Namibia

Nice hotel set on a hill overlooking Windhoek and is a longish walk from town. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Restaurant is great for some dining and service was good. If you come here and expect Relais et Chateaux service you will be disappointed, but it’s a nice place to stay and clean and comfortable should not be under valued.

I have to start this off by saying this building is amazing, as it was an old castle. Modern rooms with clean bathrooms. Everything is of the high standard you should expect from such a hotel. It features a terrace with a nice view of the city. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and it was fantastic.

We made a one night stay at Heinitzburg during a safari to Victoria Falls. Large comfortable rooms and within walking distance of the city center. Breakfast and snacks are served and was very nice.

Nice hotel with a good breakfast included. Excellent dinner in the restaurant but very formal atmosphere. First heated outdoor swimming pool we came across, with nice lounge chairs and great views of the city. The hotel is walking distance to downtown shops, and it is a safe walk by day at least. Free wifi is available near the lobby but the signal was spotty. Beautiful and spacious rooms. Excellent service.
