Reviews of Hotel Pension Palmquell in Windhoek Namibia

We had 2 nights at the family run hotel Palmquell. We had a large, comfortable room with a verandah that looked out over the nice garden. No evening meals were available when we were there , but the restaurant was till very pleasant. Breakfast was great! The Palmquell is a good place with a decent distance away from the city life. However, the hotel is in Klein Windhoek which is some distance from the centre of the city so transport is necessary. There are, however, some decent eating places within walking distance. So overall, a good place to stay.

Comfortable hotel with lovely big rooms, set in lovely gardens with large swimming pool. The restaurant is nice with a fireplace , serving a small menu of "home cooked" - great for business travellers. There was a wide choice of breakfasts which was lovely, although was served by a rather rude lady.

We had a relaxing stay at Palmquell pension. While it is not located in the center of town it’s in a good neighbourhood and is safe and secure. Lots of room to park your car. The rooms were very nice and big. The kitchen/ menu is not very big but was certainly delicious. We really adored the Oryx carpaccio. They've also have the addition of a great wine cellar and you can enjoy really nice wines for a good price. The personnel is really focused on you to attend to your needs. Loved our stay here and we would definitely return when visiting Windhoek again!

Lovely homely place. Great location in Klein Windhoek. We stayed here as the start of our self drive trip to get everything organised which was very convenient. Huge room with a great breakfast. Good value for money.
