The southern part of Namibia is famous for the Fish River Canyon - the second largest canyon in the world, Sossusvlei - where some of the highest dunes in the world can be seen, and also for Kolmanskop - a ghost town dating from the diamond rush of the early 1900's.
Travelling the long distances between these attractions is a magical experience where tourists have the privilege to enjoy the wide open spaces and fascinating, unspoilt scenery of the Namib and surrounding areas.
Situated at the edge of the Namib Desert and the Tiras Mountains, the privately owned biosphere includes the Farm Namtib, where visitors are invited to experience the absolute tranquillity of the majestic African landscape, surrounded by rugged mountains and vast open plains.
