Desert Quiver Camp is located only 5km from the Namib-Naukluft Park entrance to Sussusvlei and offers unique and modern self-catering units.
Blending into the natural environment it is set within the desert and between granite outcrops, providing breathtaking views over the surrounding plains and roaming wildlife.
With so much to see and to do in the Sossusvlei-area, this camp is the ideal base from which to do day trips to all these spectacular attractions, including some of the highest dunes in the world.
Desert Quiver Camp Accommodation
The kitchenettes of the 24 spacious and uniquely designed self-catering units are fitted with everything needed for food preparation and the option of ordering fresh food supplies every day is available to all guests.
For groups travelling together, there are two bomas where those staying in the units can enjoy a communal barbeque and get together to socialise.

The spacious units are air-conditioned, a patio and dedicated parking spot next to it.
Furnished with twin beds, two persons are accommodated, but there are also fold-out sleeper couches on which 2 small children can sleep when sharing with 2 full paying adults.
Air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin is available and linen and towels are provided.
There is space for suitcases and some shelves and hanging space for clothes. An electronic safe is available for your valuables.
The private patio has a wooden bench, barbeque facilities and the kitchenette with an undercounter fridge and 2-plate hob is also on the patio.
Utility boxes with all the necessary utensils are available at reception.
The two units closest to the main buildings have no steps and the showers are larger and fitted with handles for easy accessibility for guests in wheelchairs with limited mobility.

Desert Quiver Camp Amenities
There are two bomas, reachable by walkways, which can be booked in advance by groups travelling together and wanting to enjoy a communal barbeque or socialising as a group.
The kitchens at the bomas are equipped with a fridge, stove, preparation area and wash-up facilities.
Constructed seating with loose cushions and wooden benches are available and provide seating around the central fire-pit.
The private chef can provide catered meals for groups of at least 10 persons. This must be arranged in advance, at an additional cost.
When checking in, guests can acquire an utility box containing the cooking and eating utensils needed in the self-catering unit.
A deposit is required, which is refunded when the complete box is returned on check-out.
Fresh food supplies can be ordered at reception, including fresh meats, chicken, salad, vegetables and bread.
These items will be delivered to the unit before sunset. Firelighters and wood is also available.

A fully stocked bar is located on the edge of the granite rocks.
There is a welcoming fire-pit and big screen television for sporting events and news. These facilities are open from 14:00 to 22:00.

A sparkling swimming pool with sun loungers and wooden benches is centrally placed and only available for overnight guests. Pool towels are available at reception.
