Dolomite Camp

This beautiful camp is set on top of a dolomite outcrop in the quiet western part of Etosha National Park. With breathtaking views over the surrounding plains, this luxury tented camp provides the ideal environment for an exclusive experience of relaxation and game viewing.

Enjoy the peace and quiet from the top of the hill within the indigenous trees. Wooden walkways guide you from your private unit to the communal spaces where you can cool off in the swimming pool or relax at the bar. Some wildlife might be encountered along the way, as the camp is not fenced in, making it a completely unique dwelling place to bring lovers of nature as close as you can be to the African wildlife.

Breakfast is included in the nightly tariff and can be enjoyed at the restaurant on the premises. Other meals are also served, and the bar is open to all.

Dolomite Camp Accommodation

Two types of accommodation are available at Dolomite camp. The 20 chalets are elevated on wooden decks, and all have tented walls and thatched roofs. The three Deluxe tented chalets each have their own, private plunge pool, while the other 17 Bush chalets have all other amenities similar to the Deluxe chalets.

All the chalets have private balconies with large doors opening to the views over the plains, some towards the eastern sunrise, and some ideally placed to watch the sunset. Two persons are accommodated in each room. There is a coffee/tea station and minibar fridge in each room, as well as comfortable beds, a mosquito net, and a fan to cool you down. Your valuables can be kept in the safe in your unit.

Bush Chalet

The bush chalets do not stand back regarding luxury. Two three-quarter beds with mosquito nets and luxury bedding are available, accommodating a maximum of two persons in each room. The en-suite bathroom has hot and cold-water showers.

The retractable doors open the indoors space completely and allow you to enjoy the sounds of the birds from inside your bed. One of these chalets can be reached by a wheelchair, which makes it accessible to anyone.

Bush Chalet Facilities

Deluxe Chalet

These chalets have their own plunge pools where you can cool off in privacy. A maximum of two persons are accommodated on two three-quarter beds. There is a private en-suite bathroom with a hot water shower.

Luxury awaits and is provided in the form of plush bathrobes and slippers and a fan will cool you down at night. Relax with the doors wide open and appreciate the sunrise or sunset from the comfort of the bed.

Dolomite Camp Amenities

Safe and free parking is available at the bottom of the hill from where guests are transported to the lodge by golf carts. Wooden pathways curve through the natural trees and dolomite outcrops and bring you from the public spaces to the privacy of your own room. Your luggage will be transported to your room while you are checking in.

An infinity pool, bar and lounge area are available to guests and meals are served at the restaurant. Laundry services are available on request.

What To Do at Dolomite Camp

Relax at your private veranda or at the communal areas and do game watching from the top of the hill over the plains of western Etosha.

Access to this area was restricted until fairly recently and little human development took place since then, making this part of the park quiet and less frequented by visitors. Therefore, there are large numbers of wildlife, including the scarce, Black-faced Impala and Hartmann's Mountain Zebra to be seen. These animals collect around the waterholes of which 10 are nearby Dolomite camp. Professional Game drives are offered in the mornings and afternoons. Bird watching and plant identification can be done from the comfort of your veranda and along the wooden pathways.
