Mushara Lodge Accommodation

Ten chalets are arranged in a semi-circle around the swimming pool area and are decorated with flair and attention to detail. With stone walls and thatched roofs, the rooms are large and spacious, adding to the luxurious African safari-feel, while providing a cool environment during the hot summer months. The tasteful collection of African artefacts in a clean and uncluttered setting, gives the decor a fresh and modern feel.

Chalet number 1 and the Triple room don't have any steps and can be accessed by a wheelchair.

Double or Twin Rooms

Ten twin rooms are available with twin or double beds, covered in crisp white linen beneath mosquito nets, accommodating 2 persons per chalet. The chalets are spacious and are all equipped with air conditioning, minibars, tea/coffee stations and en-suite bathrooms, with a shower and a separate toilet. Bathrobes, a luggage rack and hairdryer add to the luxuries provided.

Outdoor seating is available on the veranda at each chalet. Breakfast is included in the nightly tariff.

Double or Twin Room Facilities

Deluxe Single Rooms

Three rooms are set in a block a short distance from the main lodge area. Two of these chalets are spacious single rooms, accommodating one person each. The single rooms are spacious with an open plan en-suite bathroom, a patio and outdoor furniture.

These rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibars and tea/coffee stations. Outdoor seating is available on the veranda at each chalet. Breakfast is included in the nightly tariff.

Deluxe Single Room Facilities

Deluxe Triple Room

One of the luxury chalets has a double and single bedroom, a small lounge area and a shared bathroom with both a bath and a shower, accommodating a maximum of three persons.

Deluxe Triple Room Facilities

Family House

The spacious and luxurious 2-bedroom family house can accommodate up to 4 adults. The rooms are large with high, thatched ceilings and are air-conditioned. Mosquito nets are installed over the beds covered with crisp, white linen. Both the bathrooms have en-suite bathroom facilities, with a shower and a bath. Bathroom amenities are provided.

The communal areas are beautifully designed and built in the safari-style with high, thatched ceilings, stone walls and open spaces to showcase the natural surroundings. The stylish decor in the lounge and dining area is an eclectic blend of traditional African and modern works of art, mixed with original paintings. The bar with its fully stocked wine cellar and the small library provide ample opportunity for relaxing and rejuvenating.

Exceptional meals are served, and dining is a pleasure at Mushara Lodge. A significant amount of fruit, vegetables and herbs are harvested from Mushara's own garden, and the delectable homemade meals prove that fresh ingredients are key to the preparation of fabulous meals. The name of the lodge is derived from the Purple Pod Terminalia trees, which grow abundantly in the area.
