Roy's Rest Camp is a small part of the farm Elandslaagte, which covers a total area of 2800 hectares. Roy's Rest Camp was established in 1995, primarily focusing on cattle farming and tourism.
Elandslaagte is one of the oldest farms in the Grootfontein district, dating back to 1930. It originally belonged to the Alberts family and traces its origins to the Dorslandtrek.
Accommodation
There are 5 standard rooms and 2 family rooms, all with en-suite facilities and private braai areas. The bungalows feature unique rustic designs. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets.
Camping
We offer 16 campsites with braai facilities and hot water available at the ablution block and bush kitchen. The campsites are within walking distance of the swimming pool and dining area.

Traditional San (Bushman) Village
The San Village is a community project located in Bushmanland, situated 86 km from Roy's Rest Camp on the C44 road, just past the Rooidag veterinary checkpoint. The gravel road is usually in good condition for 80 km, but the last 6 km should be traversed by a 4x4 vehicle or a 2x4 pick-up with an experienced driver. Shuttle service for day trips with a guide can be arranged from Roy's Rest Camp.
