The White House was built in the early 1900s, between 1912-1915. This beautiful house is situated on a 15,000-hectare farm in the far south of Namibia, 11 km north of Grunau on the B1, the main road to Windhoek. We are 125 km from Ai-Ais Hot Springs and 115 km from the Fish River Canyon.
The White House is often used as a base to make a day trip to these two places. Come and enjoy the wide-open spaces, the peace and tranquillity, the beautiful sunsets, and the millions of bright stars at night. The White House is an affordable, good, halfway stop between Cape Town and Windhoek.
The White House's main claim to fame is 'The best lamb in the world'. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner meals, and braai packs are available for self-caterers.
