Etosha National Park is an essential stop for any Namibian holiday. Spanning more than 22 000 square kilometres, the park is home to a wide variety animals, birds, reptiles and Amphibia.
The pristine wildlife sanctuary had been developed around a massive, white salt pan, which is 130 km long and up to 50 km wide, visible even from space.
Located only 13km from the Anderson Gate entrance to Etosha, on the main road between Outjo and Okaukeujo, is the beautiful and rustic Mopane Village Lodge. Offering a restful and comfortable stay close to the Park, guests can enjoy sundowners from the viewing deck, drinking in the fresh air while admiring the sunset over the African bush-veld.

All the rooms at Mopane Village Lodge are fully solar powered. Refined, rustic accommodation is provided at the lodge in the form of Bush Chalets or beautiful, domed safari tented rooms. Two campsites with private ablution facilities are also available to those preferring to set up their own camp.

Bush chalets
The ten Bush Chalets are spacious and have outdoor seating. A small fan is available and the water in the en-suite bathrooms are heated by solar geysers. Since the chalets function on solar energy, there are no kettles available in the rooms. Coffee/tea making facilities are always available in the restaurant and bar area.

Safari tented rooms
Ten beautiful, domed tented rooms offer accommodation to two persons in each on two single beds. The chalets are built from concrete, rock, canvas and wood and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. Linen is supplied and a portable fan is available.

Camping
There are two campsites at Mopane Village Lodge, each accommodating up to 6 persons. Each site has its own ablution facilities, wash-up area and a shade net covering with a barbeque area. There are lights in the bathroom and outdoor area. The pristine campsites are surrounded by Mopane woodland.
