Etosha National Park is the gem of travelling to Namibia and is on the itinerary of all tourists visiting this beautiful country. Developed in 1907 around the massive and spectacular Etosha Pan, the park has been a safe haven for African wildlife and birds. The vast expanse of the salt pan is so big that it is visible from space and is filled with run-off rainwater during the wet season.
Okaukuejo is one of only four rest camps in Etosha and is located only 17 km from the southern entrance - the Anderson Gate. Offering a variety of accommodation types, this is the most popular camp in Etosha as visitors are able to view wildlife at the waterhole next to the camp all through the day and night.
