Auas Safari Lodge was previously used as commercial farmland.
When the current owner acquired the land, they had a vision of restoring it to its pristine, original state.
The long-term goal was to sustainably utilise this natural resource for the benefit of all local and foreign visitors.
Taking a drive or walk through the veld (open grassland) and observing the diverse flora and fauna now present on this land, it is clear that this dream has largely been realised.
Auas Safari Lodge Accommodation
The lodge offers 16 rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas for relaxation.
In summer, rooms are cool with a pleasant breeze, while extra blankets are provided for winter chill.
Water is sourced from underground boreholes, tested, and guests are encouraged to use it sparingly.
Mosquitoes are rare, but precautions are advised in the rainy season. The area is not a malaria zone.
