Daan Viljoen Lodge, located in the Daan Viljoen Game Park just 20 kilometers from Windhoek, offers a unique African "kraal"-inspired experience with 19 chalets and BBQ facilities or meals at the Boma restaurant. Breakfast is included in the chalet prices.

The park is a popular birding destination with over 200 species of Namibian birdlife, and it supports a healthy population of game typical of the Namibian highlands. One of the main features is natural dam around which the chalets and camping sites are placed as this is a permanent source of water for Fauna and Flora.

The lodge is an ideal stopover for travellers looking for a tranquil bush experience close to the city, with walking trails, game drives, and a variety of amenities including a restaurant, swimming pool, and conference facilities.

Double / twin Chalets

The Double/Twin Chalets at Daan Viljoen Lodge in Namibia offer comfortable and stylish accommodations for two guests. These modern chalets are equipped with twin beds, which can be converted to a double bed upon request. The rooms are spacious and feature en-suite bathrooms with separate toilets and showers, as well as an outdoor patio for guests to enjoy the natural surroundings.

The Daan Viljoen Deluxe Chalets are ideal for families, accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children. Each chalet features a main room with a double bed and a sleeper couch suitable for children. Parking is conveniently located within walking distance of each chalet, although not shaded. Additionally, outdoor patio areas provide a cosy spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Deluxe / Family Chalet Facilities

Camping

The luxury self-catering campsites are complete with private toilets and separate showers. Each campsite features a food preparation area, washbasin with warm water, and a built-in braai area on a veranda for meal times and outdoor cooking. Electricity, provided at 220v, is available in the kitchenette area. Additionally, campers enjoy full access to the boma restaurant and swimming pool facilities at the main site.

What To Do at Daan Viljoen Lodge

The Daan Viljoen Game Park is a small game reserve that supports a healthy population of game typical of the Namibian highlands, such as mountain zebra, giraffe, and various antelope including kudu. The park also features the Daan Viljoen Dam, a natural dam that provides a permanent source of water to support a variety of plant life and attract animals.

There are several points of interest in the Windhoek surrounds, including Archers Land, Gross Barmen, Okahandja, Rehoboth, and Von Bach Dam. Gross Barmen is a hot spring and a popular destination, while the Von Bach Dam is the main water supply for Windhoek and a recreational resort.
