Do Not Expect Much! |
Sogo is a motel, the one in Trinoma is probably one
of the better sogo locations. Don't expect much from sogo. It is
a motel but honestly you would probably be better off staying at
this motel than other motel chains in Philippines.

Worst I Have Ever Seen |
We were amazed at the way people were checked in
and assigned rooms but we decided to give it a try. The bed, sheets,
carpet, furniture, towels all were stained and the whole place smelled
of sweat and cigarettes. The mattress was similar to the ones you
get in jail and it was placed on a plywood bench which made it very
uncomfortable. The only other thing was the hair in the bathroom.
I could deal with the noise and banging of doors all night but overall
it was the worst I have ever seen. |

Cater For Hourly Customers |
The lobby was nice and there were nothing but young
couples in the lobby, and when our number was called, we found the
hotel catered to "hourly customers". The room was clean,
bedding fresh, and we had all the TV entertainment we could watch.
We even got our only hot shower while in the Philippines. After
a few hours, the room smelled of cigarettes and sweat.

My Experience At Hotel
Sogo |
I stayed at this hotel during a spontaneous trip to Manila, we had stayed an
extra day in Manila and was far too late in the night to travel
back to the province by bus and too tired to hunt for another hotel.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with directions.
The corridors and layout of the hotel was rather cramped, which
is why it was surprising to find that the room was a decent size.
The room had a smell of cigarettes and alcohol which did not bother
me too much, the air condition was nice and cold, the TV had a selection
of channels and there was a hot water shower..
