Unfriendly Staff |

The hotel staff are unfriendly and there were cockroaches in the toilet. The
sheets were unchanged and we had to wait 30 minutes for free breakfast.
The price is unreasonably high for this pensionne. There was also
a very talkative owner, who was very proud of the heritage of this
hotel. |

The Hotel Is Clean |
|
Hotel is clean, reasonably priced and fairly couteous
staff. But outside, the streets are filthy and stinks especially
in the morning. This once elegant and popular location where the
middle-upper class would come to dine, party and hang around in
the 80s has now become the haven of beggars, street kids and hawkers.

Our Home Away From Home |

There is no better experience than arriving in a
hotel at five o'clock in the morning and be greeted by smiling people
when you expect the people to be half sleepy. The staff in Malate
Pensionne did everything with a smile, no matter how incovenient
it may have been for them. This pension is clean, reasonably priced,
comfortable and very tastefully restored with the intention of preserving
the building's historic value. We had very easy access to transpotation,
restaurants, commercial centers, tourist attractions and entertainment.
Malate Pensionne became our home away from home. Good service, good
location, good experience all around. |

Great Place For Young
People |

Arrived late and night staff gave us a cool reception
and showed us to our room which was clean and tidy. Tried to sleep
but noise level kept me awake all night. Seemed there are a number
of night clubs in the area that cater to the younger crowd that
parties all night and sleeps all day. This is a great place if you
are young and can handle a lot of noise. The location is convenient
to the LRT and attractions in town. |

Always Had A Good Stay |
|
Always had a good stay here. Great location with
plenty food stores outside the hotel. Very friendly staff and friendly
guards to watch over my family. The rooms are small but they have
a couple family rooms and some rooms with connecting doors.
