When I asked the front desk if I could see the room
before I check-in, she said that it's hotel policy not to allow
the guest to see the room before paying for it. On the day I arrived,
the clerk said that the moderate room was not available and they
offered a higher room type instead which cost double what they were
advertising. I asked for the GM but they said she was out and could
not be located. I was too tired to look elsewhere and paid for the
room anyway. I was shocked to discover that the room rate I paid
for was too much considering the quality of the rooms. I only stayed
for 30 minutes and transferred to the Riviera Mansion, which offered
much better service and cleaner, renovated rooms.
