Perfect For Backpackers |
It was relatively good. We were out for most of
the day so staying at a backpacker hotel like Harolds was okay for
us. The good thing about Harolds is that they arrange trips for
guests to different interest sites within and outside the city which
is cool. |

Less Than Helpful |
The front desk was less than helpful. They actually
told us to get to the bus station a few hours before the bus left.
What a waste of time. The bus station is a dirt lot where people
wait for the bus to pull up. We should have gotten there 15 minutes
before the scheduled time. You cannot pre-purchase tickets, so it
is a shoving match when the bus arrives. Being there any earlier
would not have helped, as there is no established line or waiting
system. Plus the busses seemed to all be running late. |

Staff Should Be More
Friendly |
The room was spacious and nice. The free breakfast
that they offer was really good. I enjoyed also biking during my
last stay. It is free of use, but they are not good bikes. Some
are rusty, no brake pads and the tires are flat. Better check it
well before using. For improvement, they need to check the appliances
in the rooms and the TV in my room was not really functioning well.
The staff should be more friendly and practice 2 key steps and that
is to smile and greet. I experienced when I arrived that they will
just stare at you and wait for you to speak up. |

The Place To Be |
This is the place to be in Dumaguete and the breakfast was really good. The
rooms are of good size with hot water and cold air conditioner.
Harold has the dive shop there and I recommend you go diving with
them. Apo Island is great with lots of cool fish to see. So if you
want good cheap fun, Harold's is the place to be. |

No Towels And No Soap
Provided |
There was no towels, no soap provided and there was
plenty of noise in the morning. There are lots of computers broken
in the lobby and WiFi connection is only available in the lobby.
