The View Is Of The Mechanical

The matrimonial room is decent in size and though
a little cold, a great place to sleep. The view is of the mechanical
area. This is a good comfortable hotel to sleep in, but beyond that
there is not much to offer. The staff are all friendly and fair.
Dumaguete is easily one of the finer cities in the philippines.
The airport is also very easy to transit in and out of. |

The Town Is Really Depressing |
| Mediocre at best. The toilet seldom worked properly,
no room safe or refrigerator. I went to Dumaguette on the recommendation
of a friend for 2 nights. After being out of town for about 20 minutes,
I made plans to leave as early as possible next morning. I saw nothing
in Dumaguette that would make me want to come back. Few decent restaurants,
no Bar worth going to and the town is really depressing. |

The Room Was Dark |
| The room was dark, like a gail. During my stay 11
nights they changed the towels only once. Toilet paper was always
finished. The restuarant was good. The staff was like asleep all
the time. I never come back to this hotel. |

Very Friendly Staff |
|
My stay would have been ideal except that my dates
clashed with a local fiesta held over several days across the road
in the park. The very typically loud Filipino music and vocals mercifully
finished late at night. I found the hotel and staff of a good, friendly
standard. My room was comfortable, although the pebble texture flooring
could do with resealing to stop grit attaching to the bottom of
feet after showering. On the 4th floor is a complimentary supply
of drinking water, from a dispenser providing hot and cold water.
I was able to walk to Robinson's Mall from the hotel and there is
a smaller Robinson's in the main shopping area, along with other
retail options where you can grab some items that you may need.
Overall I was impressed with Dumaguete as a place to visit, as there
are good English language skills and the people are friendly around
town. |

WiFi Did Not Work |
|
The WiFi connection and broadbrand did not work,
floors are hard and made of rocks that hurt your feet, barely warm
water and staff did not care about any problems. |
