Reviews of Citystate Asturias Hotel in Puerto Princesa Philippines

We stayed here for 4 days during a family vacation. The rooms were clean, staff were helpful and accommodating. There is a big pool if you want to take a swim. The hotel is within walking distance from Robinsons Mall. Restaurant at the hotel is good and the reasonably priced buffet. The more popular restaurants are along Rizal Avenue which is 15 minutes by tricycle.

It is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff are very attentive. There is a nice courtyard and pool. The kitchen people are responsive, we were supposed to have our breakfast earlier than their normal serving due to our early flight back to Manila. The lobby staff forgot to relay it to the kitchen or resto people, we arrived there, peace time, no food but the kitchen people were so quick to respond.

We stayed here for our last night. The room was actually a 2 double bedroom with basic toiletries and sheets but are just fine. We just stayed at the hotel to doze the night away before our 7am flight back to Manila the next day. Breakfast buffet was amazing, they had tons to choose from. Have not tried their pool but it looked enticing.

We were at the Asturias for three nights. Comfortable lobby, the rooms were fine, clean and comfortable but not luxurious. A very pretty inner courtyard with swimming pool, large palm trees and native vegetation. The dining area is adjacent to the lobby. I would rate the morning and evening buffets as quite good, with outstanding service. Please be advised that if you do not have your own transportation, the only reasonable dining option is at the hotel. There are no eating establishments or retail stores close to this hotel.

Clean, very accommodating staff, breakfast could have been a bit better, but otherwise satisfying. The location was ideal if you like a quiet stay. Amusingly, the sound of the fountain by the pool helps put you in a state of relaxation in the evenings.
