EVOLUTION RESORT ON MALAPASCUA ISLAND brings you progressive diving in the Philippines’ best all-round dive location. And don’t worry, we are fully rebuilt after the storm and the diving is still world class.

Malapascua is known for our daily sightings of famous Thresher Sharks at Monad Shoal, but we have incredible macro diving at our other great dive sites, we have wreck dives like the Dona Marilyn and Mogami Maru and we also dive colourful reefs. We have deep dives and we have shallow dives.

All of this together is what makes Malapascua the best all around dive location in the Philippines.

Evolution is a small and friendly owner-operated resort that provides everything you could need to enjoy our great diving. We have 16 rooms with a choice of AC or Fan, all within a short distance of our golden white sand beach.

The resort is home to one of the most highly rated restaurants in the province, where you’ll find delicious homemade food for all palates, and a great selection of vegetarian dishes as well. Just let us know what you need to make your trip great and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Our ethos is to bring safe, fun and superb scuba diving to any customer. So if you’ve never scuba dived and want to take an Open Water dive course, or if you’re ready to do a sub 100m exploratory tech dive, you will find no one more passionate about either than EVOLUTION.

At EVOLUTION we take satisfaction in adding value to everything we do. So if you’re a fun diver or a tech guru there is always more to learn, more things to experience and we encourage all our visitors to dip into the Gene Pool. Evolution has top of the line facilities for tech, trimix and CCR rebreather diving. We offer rental equipment, various tank sizes and even sidemount training and equipment. If you’re just getting started or an experienced tech diver we can take care of your needs.

The Craic House Restaurant

The Craic House is the best bar on Malapascua, no ifs, buts or maybes. It’s an Irish bar on a Filipino beach, or a Filipino bar with warm Irish hospitality and a Celtic commitment to fun and frivolity. You choose. It is also an acclaimed bistro which turns its back on the ’20 pizza, 20 pasta’ experience.

Our goal is simple but almost unique in The Philippines – we want to provide a contemporary feel by ensuring progressive music, progressive food and cold, cold drinks are always available and affordable. Just because those Thresher dives can be a bit on the early side it doesn’t mean you should turn your back on one or two nights of food, music, conversation and fun at The Craic House.

We boast the best music selection anywhere for miles and our 10,000+ song juke box has something for every mood. We’ll help create the soundtrack for your holiday and if we’re not getting it quite right just make a request with our friendly bar staff.

We are currently the only bar in The Philippines that believes Gangnam is out of style, and X-Factor hits are not fit for human consumption. By the time you reach us, you’ll know what we’re talking about.

The Craic House has also gained a solid reputation for tasty, original food and our customers continue to rate us number one on TripAdvisor in The Visayan region which we humbly thank them for! We serve fusion food with a contemporary Irish twist. We refuse to have 150 dishes on our menu, instead we concentrate on our specials each evening, using only the freshest local produce and the best imported ingredients available. If you're diving with Evolution here on Malapascua Island we’re happy to be able to offer a limited number of rooms to our diving customers.

These are right on our beautiful section of beach so you can be fanned by the light breeze as you sleep, or just read a book on the open terrace, and really enjoy the beauty that is Malapascua Island.

We can offer you a choice between beach side Fan Rooms or Air Conditioned. All our rooms have a double and a single bed, as well as an en suite bathroom and outdoor balcony. Our rooms are also on the doorstep of our dive shop and restaurant, so perfectly positioned for the active diver!
