These apartments, contained within a listed Georgian granite building,
enjoy a superb location in a quiet, historic street in the very centre
of Aberdeen.
An ideal base to enjoy a city break from which to explore the many attractions
the Granite City has to offer; historical Old Aberdeen, theatre, gardens,
beach, shops, restaurants and a vibrant night life.

Flat 1:
Entry The street door from Skene Terrace has a security entrance system.
The apartment is situated on the ground floor to the front of the building
(please note there are 5 internal steps up to the flat). It is accessed
by hardwood door with glazed panel leading into a small vestibule fitted
with coat hooks. All rooms are accessed from the hallway.
Living Area:
The apartment has a lounge, dining area and kitchen organised into an
open plan living space.
The Lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, occasional tables, Digital TV and
DVD player.
The Dining Area is furnished with a circular dining table seating 4. Good
quality china, cutlery, table linen and place mats are provided.
The Kitchen is extremely well equipped with fridge/freezer,
electric oven, ceramic and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer
and cooking equipment and utensils.
Bedrooms:
The apartment will sleep up to 4 people. There is a double bedroom, a
single bedroom with an additional pullout bed and there is also a bed
settee in the living area. The bedrooms both have fitted wardrobes and
plenty of drawer space.
Shower Room:
A newly refurbished shower room with shower, WC and WHB in a fitted vanity
unit.
Parking Being in the city centre, metered car parking is available in
the streets close to the flat and there is a multi storey car park nearby.
General Information:
The apartment has gas central heating and constant hot water. All bed
linen, towels and tea towels are provided are provided as are kitchen
foil, cling film and kitchen roll.
A welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk and juice is also
provided.
Flats 2 & 4 (sleep 1-2):
Flat 2
Entry The street door from Skene Terrace has a security entrance system.
The apartment is situated on the ground floor (please note there are 5
internal steps up to the apartment). It is accessed by hardwood door with
glazed panel leading into a small vestibule fitted with coat hooks and
an information board. All rooms are accessed from the hallway by semi-glazed
doors.
Lounge/Dining:
This is an exceptionally bright room with a large Georgian sash window
overlooking Skene Terrace. The room is comfortably furnished with a 2
seater settee and armchair. There is a TV , VCR/DVD player and Radio/CD.
The room is heated by electric storage heating and there is also a fireplace
fitted with an electric fire.
A circular drop-leaf table and chairs cater for dining in the lounge.
The flat is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and table linen.
Kitchen:
The kitchen which has a feature window looking into the lounge, is fully
fitted with electric cooker, ceramic hob, stainless steel cooker hood
with extractor fan, microwave, fridge freezer and washer dryer. There
is ample storage in base and wall units with co-ordinating work surfaces.
It is well equipped with cutlery and crockery and a good range of pots
and utensils for those who like to cook.
Bedroom:
Another bright and airy room, the bedroom has a large Georgian sash window
overlooking Skene Terrace. There is a queen sized bed, 2 bedside tables
with lamps, a chest of drawers and fitted wardrobes with further shelving
and drawers. The bedroom is heated by a panel heater with thermostat and
timer.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is fitted with a cream 3-piece bathroom suite with an instant
electric shower over the bath. The floor and walls are tiled. There is
an extractor fan and heated towel rail.
Flat 4:

The apartment is situated on the first floor. It is accessed by hardwood
door with glazed panel leading into a small vestibule fitted with coat
hooks and an information board. All rooms are accessed from the hallway

Open Plan Living Area:
This is an exceptionally bright room with a large Georgian sash window
overlooking Skene Terrace. The room is comfortably furnished with 2 2-seater
settees. There is a TV, DVD player.
A circular drop-leaf table and chairs cater for dining and the flat is
well equipped with crockery, cutlery and table linen.
Kitchen area:
The kitchen is fully fitted with electric cooker, ceramic hob, , microwave,
fridge with freezer compartment and washer dryer. It is well equipped
with cutlery and crockery and a good range of pots and utensils for those
who like to cook.
Bedroom:
Another bright and airy room, the bedroom has a large Georgian sash window
overlooking Skene Terrace. There is king size bed, which can be converted
into 2 narrow single beds if required, 2 bedside tables with lamps, a
chest of drawers and a fitted wardrobes.
Shower Room:
The tiled shower room is fitted with a digital shower, basin in a fitted
unit and toilet. There is an extractor fan and heated towel rail.

Places To Visit:
The City of Aberdeen
Aberdeen, the Granite City, has one of Scotland's most striking skylines.
Granite buildings such as Marischal College, His Majesty's Theatre and
St. Machar's Cathedral give the city its distinctive look, whilst historical
Old Aberdeen , Provost Skene's House and the fishing village of Footdee
(Fittie), give a sense of history and times gone by.
A visit to the Aberdeen Maritime Museum gives a background to Aberdeen's
sea faring history in the North Sea; clipper ships, shipbuilding and the
offshore oil industry.
For those who wish to eat out the apartments at Skene Terrace are very
close to many restaurants and bars in the city centre, the nearest to
be found in North Silver Street, Golden Square and Huntly Street. Details
of some of the eating places in Aberdeen can be found at the VisitScotland
website.
Aberdeen has won City in Bloom on several occasions and a visit to Duthie
Park in Aberdeen and Pitmedden Gardens near Ellon are worthwile.
For those who enjoy walking or cycling the old railway lines, Deeside
Way and Formartine & Buchan Way are worth a visit and details of walks
within Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire can be found at Walks in NE Scotland.
The Aberdeen area has much to offer golfers with world class golf course
such as Royal Aberdeen and Cruden Bay.
Many of our visitors are tracing their family roots in the NE of Scotland
and the Aberdeen NE Scotland Family History Society in King Street is
the place to start.
Grampian and Moray
The wider areas of Grampian and Moray also have much to offer
the visitor to the NE Scotland. There area range of tourist trails:

· Victorian Heritage
· Coastal
· Stone Circles
The Cairngorms National Park, Britain's largest national Park, covering
moorlands, forests, rivers, lochs and glens and many wildlife species
is also to be found in this area. Other wildlife such as whales, dolphins,
and seals can be seen in the Moray Firth.
There is a good selection of leaflets in the apartment on places to visit
in Aberdeen, Grampian and Moray.
Local Activities:
There are many events in the Aberdeen & Grampian Highland area throughout
the year, including art, crafts, culture, exhibitions, festivals, markets,
music, theatre and many more.
The Events Calendar for Aberdeen & Grampian will enable you to see
what is happening in the area at the time of your visit.
The Aberdeen Country Fair, on the first and last Saturday of every month,
is held in Belmont Street, very close to the apartments.
Produce from local farmers and crafters will be available such as Angus
beef, fish landed at Aberdeen and Peterhead Harbours, local fruit and
vegetables, baking, cheeses, confectionary, Scottish whisky, wines and
handmade crafts .
