in 1835 that sits on the shorefront of Anstruther. The building is situated
at the west end of Shore Street with a supermarket, post office, and varied
shops, pubs, and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a
small garden area and plenty of outdoor storage for bikes and golf clubs.
Anstruther is the largest in a string of picturesque fishing villages
in the East Neuk of Fife.

Coastal Walk
Fife Coastal Walk is a 78-mile trail connecting the Forth Road Bridge
to the Tay Bridge. The path can be walked in sections and is particularly
beautiful in the East Neuk as it weaves in and out of the pretty harbour
villages.A mixture of woodland walks, sandy beaches and breathtaking cliffs
provide a variety of different experiences for both recreational and serious
walkers.
Isle of May
The island is a National Nature Reserve (NNR). It has a fascinating history
and is a bird watchers’ paradise. From April to July the island
is covered with breeding kittiwakes, razorbills, guillemots, shags, and
puffins. Gray seals can be seen all year round.You can also see the remains
of a 12th Century monastery and the oldest light house in Scotland.The
“May Princess” sails once a day from May to September out
of Anstruther Harbour, on the tide (weather permitting).
Anstruther Harbour AND FISHERIES MUSUEM
Anstruther was once the main herring port in Scotland with an extensive
harbour and a large fleet of vessels. Although fishing boats do still
leave from Anstruther harbour they now fish for shellfish.The Scottish
Fisheries Museum is an award winning museum situated on the harbourfront
of Anstruther that records the history of the Scottish fishing industry.
Fishing or sailing excursions from Anstruther Harbour can be arranged
by us through private charter.
