A warm, relaxed and homely feel awaits with antique furnishings and many original features including quarry tiled flooring and superb open fire in the sitting room.
A door from the living room leads to a private South facing patio - the
large mature gardens of the main house are also there for you to walk
around and enjoy if you wish.
The Great Lodging is an historic house located in Anstruther, dating back
to the 1500's and part of the charming East Neuk of Fife.
This ancient region of Scotland is ideal for golfing and walking holidays, or if you just want to relax in the beautiful surroundings of a small fishing village. The university town of St Andrews, the capital of the golfing world, is only 10 miles away and the cities of Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee are within easy reach for shopping trips.
The Great Lodging has been recently restored to make an enviable holiday home. The house is tastefully furnished throughout and includes some period and antique furniture. The spacious sitting room/dining spans the width of the house.
Free parking is available and there is a patio and well stocked walled garden, shared with the owner in the adjoining house, for you to relax in. Anstruther harbour and beach are just a few minutes walk from the house.

Head west to Anstruther West for about 1 mile along the High Street past
Smugglers and the Dreel Bridge – facing you on the left hand side.

From the M90 junction 2A or 3, take the Glenrothes road, A92, for about
8 miles then the A921 for about a mile, then the A915 for 6 miles, then
the A917 for 6 miles to Anstruther.

Train to Leuchers Station then by taxi
Getting there by Aeroplane
Edinburgh Airport then taxi to Anstruther or Airport bus to Edinburgh,
rail to Leuchers and taxi to Anstruther.
