Anstruther HotelsWelcome to Westbourne Cottage! They look forward to welcoming you as one of their special guest to the cosy 19th century cottage situated in the quiet conservation village of Kilrenny in the beautiful East Neuk(corner)of Fife.

Your accommodation is a newly refurbished private annex at one end of our cottage with direct access to our garden.

Breakfast is provided in our separate dining room – or if you wish, outside on our patio if weather permits. Their aim is to use high quality, locally sourced produce wherever they can. There are a variety of good pubs and restaurants close by and a wider choice in St Andrews.
They regret that the accommodation is not suitable for children (except babies still in a cot) or pets. The cottage and garden have a number of steps which may be difficult for people with physical disabilities. They ask guests not to smoke anywhere on thier property.

There are a number of attractive country and coastal walks which you can access directly from the house. In the immediate locality are the beautiful fishing towns and villages of the East Neuk of Fife each with their own charm and character.

Closest to Kilrenny is the largest town – Anstruther – which you can walk or cycle into in a few minutes. It is home to the famous Scottish Fisheries Museum– a wonderful testament to Scotland’s rich and fascinating fishing industry.

You will also be able to sample one of the best fish and chip restaurants in the United Kingdom in Anstruther. The town has a variety of small independent shops, a small supermarket and a choice of pubs and restaurants, including the award winning Cellar Restaurant. From the fabulous sandy beaches of Elie, the working fishing harbour and Arts Town at Pittenweem, or the picture postcard harbour at Crail, you can spend hours exploring the East Neuk just wandering through the narrow cobbled streets, admiring the wonderful sea views, sampling the local food or chatting with the locals.
