This is an excellent base for exploring Scotland’s history, with
Arbroath Abbey and Glamis Castle close by, for walking and hill walking
in the glens and up the local Munros, and for golf with around 20 courses
within a 40 minute drive.
Alternatively it can be used as a secluded retreat for a spell of R &
R.
The sea is just visible from the secluded and secure garden. The cottage
has recently (Oct 2010) been refurbished and redecorated.

DIRECTIONS
Getting there from the Information Centre
From the Arbroath Tourist Information Office beside Arbroath Harbour take
the main A92 road towards Dundee. After 1 mile turn right up Westway beside
McDonalds. At the top of Westway turn left, and left again on to the A933
Friockheim / Brechin road, turning left after a mile on to the road signposted
to Swirlburn, Redford and Letham. The cottage is 0.8 of a mile along this
road on the right beside some farm buildings.

The main East Coast rail line stops at Arbroath.
Getting there by Aeroplane
20 miles from Dundee Airport (link to London City), 40 miles from Aberdeen
