Ayr Hotels Crofthead is one of Ayrshire's premier, four star parks offering a relaxing and peaceful ambience, surrounded by beautiful rural Ayrshire though only a mere two miles from Ayr town centre.

The McCormack family ensure that 'family values' and a 'traditional caravanning' atmosphere are retained despite the remarkable upgrading the park has seen since they bought it in 2001.

All hire vans are 'top of the range' and "Thistle Awarded".
Each holiday home is superbly equipped and along with one log cabin, they are all centrally heated and double glazed.
All touring pitches are fully serviced and all are hard standing.

There is a well serviced laundry and shop which is open seven days.

Ayr is a superb location for the gastronomically excitable customer. There are a myriad of great eateries in and around the town of Ayr. You'll be hard pressed to taste a better Haggis, neeps and tatties anywhere!

Shops:
Ayr is renowned as a pretty shopping centre with an eclectic mix of shops off the main 'drag'. Pretty gift shops, traditional baby shops, old sweetie shops and large department stores as well as fine eateries are all centrally located in the town. You're sure to find the perfect gift.or treat for yourself!

Garden Centres:
Garden centres are a must when visiting Ayr. Half a mile from Crofthead, a large Dobbies with a coffee shop and aquatic centre can be found. A mere 10 minutes along the A70, Nurseries Direct is a delightful garden centre to browse through and lunch at. The homemade cakes are fantastic! Nurseries Direct also boasts a really well equipped playpark for the kids.

Local Attractions:
Burns Centre:
This award winning visitor centre tells the story of the connections between Robert Burns and the town of Dumfries. The well-researched exhibition is illuminated by many original documents and relics of the poet.

Heads of Ayr Farm Park:
Whatever the weather - you'll find plenty to see and do, with activities for all ages. There are almost 50 different types of animal to be seen.

Dunure (castle ruins):
The village of Dunure is located 5 miles (8km) north west of Maybole in South Ayrshire. This fishing village is a fairly recent addition to the coastline, dating from the early 19th century.

Maidens is a fishing village at the southern end of Maidenhead Bay 2 miles north of Turnberry and 5 miles west of Maybole. The village retains an old world air of peace and tranquility and is a favourite spot for artists and camera enthusiasts.

Set in 500 acres of magnificent parkland and with the imposing, historical castle as a stunning backdrop, this 4 star visitor attraction is unique with a safe and clean environment where there are rides and attractions to suit groups of all ages.

There's lots more to see and do:
Beach, Golf clubs, Culzean, Ayr town centre is less than a 10 minute drive from park (restaurants, shops).
There's good fishing nearby. Additionally, Ayr Racecourse and Prestwick.

For serious shopping Glasgow is only 45 minutes drive from the park.
