Ayr Station - Follow Main Street/High Street in direction of the Sandgate
and the river. On reaching the Sandgate, turn left, Lady Cathcart House
on the right, above tourist information centre. Entrance at 2D Cathcart
Street.
Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Glasgow Prestwick Airport - turn left, through Prestwick to Ayr.
Continue on dual carriageway (1000yds) to roundabout, police station on
right, take last exit. At T-junction turn left go over bridge into Sandgate.
Lady Caythcart House on right hand side, painted pale yellow above Tourist
Information Office. Entrance at 2 Cathcart Street, flat D.
Getting There by Ferry:
Troon - Exit Troon in southerly direction. Go through Prestwick and Newton
on Ayr on Main Road. (approx. 5 miles) Cross bridge over river into Sandgate.
Lady Cathcart House is on right, above Tourist Information Centre. From
Stranraer - Take the A77 north towards Glasgow for approx. 60 miles. Go
through Maybole town to Ayr.
Take Whitletts Road into Ayr from 3rd roundabout on north side of Ayr.
Into Ayr town centre and on to Sandgate. Lady Cathcart House is on right
above Tourist Information Centre. Entrance from 2D Cathcart Street.
