Welcome to the Deeside Hotel, a small, personally run hotel nestling in the stunning surroundings of the Cairngorm National Park. The owners, Gordon and Penella, have maintained the character and ambience of the original Victorian house whilst ensuring your comfort with modern bathrooms, open log fires and individual touches such as homemade biscuits with cafetière coffee in your room. Dining is based on the seasons, both in terms of ambience and menu. In the summer guests breakfast and dine in the light and airy conservatory, overlooking our lovely walled garden and enjoy fresh herbs and soft fruit from the garden. In the winter our candlelit restaurant is warmed by open log fires and the menu offers Scottish game, warming soups and puddings. Deeside Hotel AccommodationTheir nine bedrooms feature eight king-size beds and the option of up to five twins. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, Freesat television, clock radio, direct dial telephones and hair-dryers. There is a welcome tray with local Deeside mineral water, cafetière coffee, Fair-trade chocolate and home-made biscuits. Rooms 1 and 2 overlook the south-facing walled garden. Room 1 has a king-size four-poster bed with tartan canopy for those romantic escapes; whilst room 2 enjoys a dual-aspect and can be arranged as a king- size or twin bedded room. Two rooms (one twin and one double - with walk in shower) are on the
ground floor offering easy access: They are set well back from the road, so all the rooms are quiet and the front facing ones enjoy a view of Craigendarroch (the Hill of Oaks). Their library is a place of quiet repose, with magazines & games. Their lounge is adjacent to the bar and restaurant and offers relaxing leather sofas and a log fire. The walled garden is a haven for wildlife - frequent visitors are red squirrels, whilst the wild garden attracts many insects and birds.
