Our pink granite cottage, at 6 Ramsay Road Banchory, benefits from a sunny
patio.
We are situated in the traditional heart of Banchory on Royal Deeside
and are 200 metres from shops, restaurants and local amenities.
Royal Deeside is a stunning setting for a holiday throughout the year.
Within a short distance from the cottage, visitors can enjoy beautiful
walks.
The Cottageat 6 Ramsay Road Accommodation
The cottage has been newly refurbished and is south facing, it is elegantly
designed and furnished for a relaxing holiday. The full gas central heating
can be controlled by guests. It accommodates 2 (+1) people.
* The comfortable sitting room is presented with a flat screen TV, digital
freeview, DVD player, stereo and WIFI.
A collection of CD's, novels and books of local interest are also provided.
* The kitchen is bright and airy, it is fully equipped, modern and spotlessly
clean.
* The new bathroom is warm and restful. It has a bath and a shower and
a large heated towel rail, all towels are provided.
*The double bedroom is very comfortable and relaxing. If extra sleeping
is required, the sitting room settee converts into a small double bed.
All bedding is supplied.
* Secure storage for guests use is available.

The cottage is suitable for couples or for friends to enjoy a relaxing
break on Royal Dee-side.
A short walk from the cottage takes visitors into the lovely village
of Banchory, where there is a choice of tempting coffee shops.
They serve delicious scones and cakes and also offer lunch menus in the
evening a selection of restaurants offer Indian, Italian or Chinese cooking.
There are also several, which specialise in local produce beautifully
presented.
On arrival you will find a tray set with afternoon tea to welcome you
after your journey.
In summer a BBQ is in place on the patio to allow you to prepare a meal
out of doors on warm evenings.

- Golf is also very popular. A choice of 3 courses is available.
- Fishing can also be enjoyed - a permit is required to fish on the River
Dee, however there are also local fisheries.
- Other activities include indoor and outdoor bowling, tennis courts and
wonderful cycling routes.
In the winter the ski slopes at the Lecht and at Glenshee are only an
hour’s drive away.
Nestling as it does at the gateway to Royal Deeside, Banchory is a beautiful
place to enjoy a holiday. Visitors are invited to explore Deeside’s
historical connections.
There is a wealth of beautiful castles to visit, including Balmoral Castle,
which is home to the Royal Family each year from August until October.

Getting there from the Information Centre:
By Foot:
Turn right and follow the road round to the High Street. Turn right onto
the High Street and take the first road on the left (Mount Street) and
then the second road on the right (Ramsay Road). We are the third house
on the right with the two bollards outside the entrance.
By Car:
Turn left and drive to the end of Bridge Street. Turn left onto Dee Street.
Turn left at the traffic lights onto High Street. Drive along High Street
and take the 1st road on the right (Mount Street) alongside The Burnett
Arms Hotel. Ramsay Road is the 2nd on the right and No 6 is the 4th house
on the right. 2 bollards mark the entrance.
Getting There by Car:
From Aberdeen follow the A93. On arriving in Banchory drive straight on
through 2 sets of traffic lights, then take the first road on the right
between the church and the Burnett Arms Hotel (Mount Steet).
Arriving from the South or East proceed West along the high street for
100m and take the 1st road on the right (Mount Street).
Ramsay Road is the 2nd road on the right. We are the 4th House on the
right with 2 bollards to mark the entrance
From Braemar/Ballater follow the A93, on arriving in Banchory, approaching
the High Street turn immediately left at the large Church (Mount Street).
Take the second road on the right (Ramsay Road). We are the 4th house
on the right with 2 bollards to mark the entrance.
