Glenshieling House Accommodation
We cater for Singles, Couples, groups of Friends and the self-catering
Lodge, (sleeps 5), is ideal for Families.
The Lodge comfortably sleeps five and has a fully equipped kitchen/diner,
a sitting-room , shower room, bathroom and two bedrooms.
The bedroom accommodation includes a family room, which has a double and a single bed, and a twin-bedded room. The lodge is non-smoking.
The bedrooms provide accommodation as follows:
- Double rooms x 3
- Superior rooms x 2
There are three double rooms and two superior/family rooms; all of which
have ensuite facilities. All of the bedrooms have tea and coffee making
facilities, remote controlled TV’s, clock radios and a hairdryer.
The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with washing machine, electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge. A welcome pack of groceries will be provided to start your self-catering off.
The spacious twin-bedroom offers views over the Lodge garden and the
Strathmore Valley beyond. The family bedroom has a double and a single
bed.
This is a bright room with views over the Angus Glens.
Your heating, lighting and linen are all included in the price.
There is a South-facing garden to the rear and at the front, a patio seating area with table and chairs; suitable for alfresco eating on those lovely warm summer days.

Glenshieling House and Glenshieling Lodge are non-smoking properties with plenty of private parking for residents.
Both places are set back from the road and situated in just under 3-acres of garden and woodlands. Glenshieling offers its guests a peaceful haven in a beautiful location, well away from the noise and bustle of every day life.
Please feel welcome to bring your dog if he/she is well behaved.
The House, built in 1893, is a Victorian Villa that is grade C listed
for its local architectural significance. It has five well appointed rooms
(one on the ground floor); all of which are ensuite.
Plan your daily activities from the cosy Lodge sitting-room. Here you will find a T.V. and some reading materials, plus activity suggestions to ensure you get the most out of your stay in this beautiful part of Perthshire.
Glenshieling is a peaceful haven located away from the main road amidst three acres of woodland.
The Lounge has been restored to its former glory and features an open fire for those chilly winter evenings when coffee and liqueurs are called for.
In the evening you can choose to have a relaxing drink in the Conservatory
with its Residents Bar,
Catherine does the cooking and believes in using fresh local produce wherever
possible.
Your breakfast will be served in the elegant Dining Room with its views over the front garden. Evening meals are available between October & March if requested well in advance. Menus are varied and guests with special dietary needs are catered for.

You will find Glenshieling just off the A93 road, which leads to the ski
slopes of Glenshee and to Braemar and Royal Deeside.
We are also ideally situated for sightseeing, golfing, shooting, fishing,
walking, adventurous sports activities and shopping.
Whilst the House has few suitable facilities for children, sited within
the grounds of Glenshieling is a self-catering Victorian Lodge.
Blairgowrie lies in the Southern Highlands of Scotland and is an ideally situated base. Whatever the purpose of your visit to the area you will find a wealth of activities and places to visit.
For those interested in fishing and shooting Glenshieling House is well located with great facilities close by. It is also on the road to Glenshee (about 20 minutes.) and the slopes provide good skiing for both beginners and the more experienced.
There is a host of top quality golf courses nearby and over the Spital of Glenshee lies Braemar, site of the famous annual Highland Gathering.
From Glenshieling the splendours of Royal Deeside can be enjoyed. Notably Balmoral Castle, the autumn residence of the Royal Family; Glamis Castle, childhood home of the late Queen Mother; Blair Atholl; and, Scone Palace.
The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists. Walkers should try the recently completed Cateran Trail, which takes you on a circular route through the most beautiful countryside imaginable. For those who enjoy their shopping Dundee, Perth, St Andrews, and the House of Bruar are all within an hour’s drive away.
Blairgowrie is within one to two hours of the major Airports of Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The new ferry terminal at Rosyth, which lies just to the north of Edinburgh, gives our European visitors a direct sea route to Scotland from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge.

Directions:
Glenshieling House is situated approximately one mile from the centre
of Blairgowrie. When travelling from the South, at the traffic lights
in the town centre follow the signs for the A93 to Braemar.
Continue over the bridge - take left turn into Balmoral Road (A93 to Glenshee/Braemar). Proceed for 0.75 miles and turn right into Bonnington Road, at crossroads turn right, Glenshieling House is situated approximately 200 yards on the right.
