Miramichi
Self Catering consists of a spaciously converted stable, large woodland
garden, sleeps 4/5 near the Golf Club, baby-sitting, linens provided,
central heating and it is well equipped.
Miramichi is situated in wooded grounds near the 3 world-renowned courses
of Blairgowrie Golf Club.
The accommodation is on one level with a spacious lounge/dining room,
kitchen, twin bedroom, shower room and a twin/double room with ensuite
shower room.
The cottage sits at the end of a pleasant drive well away from the road,
adjacent to the owners' home.
There is garden furniture and a BBQ available for use in a private garden
area where you can watch a variety of birds and red squirrels.
Miramichi Self Catering Facilities
Prices include all heating, electricity, linens and baby equipment (available
on request). Baby-sitting can be arranged with the Owner, a former child
minder/primary teacher.
Breakfast can be arranged at an additional charge, there is ample private
parking and late arrivals are no problem. Short lets are available with
a minimum 2 night stay.

Location:
Blairgowrie lies in the heart of some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery,
but is only one and a half hours away from its major cities.
The 'Fair City of Perth' is 25 minutes away and there are many castles,
palaces and historic sites nearby.
During the months of April to October, there are a variety of local markets,
concerts and outdoor events in the town and in other villages in the vicinity.
Things to do:
Blairgowrie is also ideal for golfers with many excellent
courses within a short distance and with St Andrews and Gleneagles approximately
45 minutes drive away. there is a host of outdoor activities available
- walking, cycling, fishing, swimming, shooting, skiing, archery, pony
trekking and mountain biking.
Blairgowrie is a pleasant town with many privately owned shops, restaurants
and takeaways to suit most holiday makers. There are Tesco, Somerfield's
and convenience stores and selected groceries can be purchased ready for
your arrival.
Getting there from the Information Centre:
From Blairgowrie Tourist Information Centre, return to the A923 (Perth
Road). Leave the town centre, go past Blairgwrie Cottage Hospital (on
right), then past Cemetery on your left.
Take left turn into Golf Course Road - signposted 'Rosemount'. Pass 2
small cottages on left and horse-rider warning triangle. Turn left into
drive with paving stones at entrance - "Goldcrest" - follow
drive to right and come up to big house.
Getting There by Car:
From Perth follow A93 (signposted Braemar). Go through village of Guildtown
and hamlet of Carsie. Past Carsie, there are new houses on the right and
a 40mph sign.
Look for signpost 'Rosemount'. Turn right into Golf Course Road, pass
2 cottages and horse-rider warning triangle. Turn left into drive with
paving stones at entrance - "Goldcrest" - follow drive to the
right and come up to big house.
Getting There by Railway:
Perth Railway Station or Dundee Railway Station.
From Perth, cross road to Bus Station and take the No 57 (hourly service)
to Blairgowrie - Taxi from Town Centre to "Goldcrest".
From Dundee, go to Bus Station, take No 59 (hourly service) to Blairgowrie
- Taxi from Town Centre to "Goldcrest".
*You can call the Owner who will give you a lift from the Town Centre*
Getting there by Aeroplane:
Glasgow or Edinburgh Airports.
On leaving Edinburgh follow signs for 'All Routes' then Forth Road Bridge
- M90 towards Perth, then signs for Scone Palace/Braemar. Follow directions
from Blairgowrie Town Centre.
From Glasgow, take the M8 towards city, M80 (Stirling) then M9 (North),
A9 (Perth) then follow directions 'by road'.
Getting There by Ferry
To Rosyth Ferry Terminal, then by road or rail.
