and being just 10 minutes from the Skye Bridge, many places can easily

house as well as further afield.
From the lounge or out on the decking relax and soak up the ever changing

Directions:
Moeraki can be easily accessed by rail, bus or car.
Information on car hire, taxis and cycle hire.
The nearest airport is Inverness with “lowcost” airline connections
from many UK airports. From here a car can be hired or the journey can
be continued by rail or bus. If you arrive by air into Glasgow or Edinburgh
you can also hire a car or travel up by Citylink Bus, see below.
Moeraki has the following transport related facilities:
Private car space – 3+ cars
Bike shed available – lockable
Cycle hire nearby
By Rail:
There are two rail routes that can be booked, the easiest being to Kyle
of Lochalsh via Inverness (with the opportunity of an overnight sleeper
from London to Inverness) and the other is regarded as one of the Great
Railway Journeys of the World from Glasgow to Mallaig via Fortwilliam.
Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh: The rail journey from Inverness to Kyle
of Lochalsh is very scenic and takes about 2 ½ hours.
From here there are regular Stagecoach buses (Bus route Kyle of Lochalsh
to Portree) to Broadford that will stop at the top of our short lane,
a Taxi journey would take 10 minutes, or you can hire a car.
Glasgow to Mallaig: This rail adventure takes over five hours, but is
worthwhile in daylight and good visibility. In addition to the regular
train service, the Jacobite steam engine operates during the summer months
between Fort William and Mallaig.
From here you need to take a ferry to Armadale, (30 mins) Check Calmac
Ferry connections and timetables.
From Armadale it is 20 minutes by taxi, (see below) or there is a regular
30 minute bus ride from the pier to Broadford where you can be dropped
off at the end of the lane. (Bus route Armadale to Portree).
By Bus:
There are regular Citylink Buses from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness
to Portree, which stop in Broadford and you can request the driver to
drop you off at the end of our lane.
By Car:
The most direct route from the south is via Glasgow, up alongside Loch
Lomond, onto Tyndrum, and Fort William via Glencoe. From Fort William
follow signs to Spean Bridge, Invergarry, and Kyle of Lochalsh. Moeraki
is just 10 minutes from here; over the famous Skye Bridge, (which is now
toll free), proceeding along the A87 for 8 miles towards Broadford.
An alternative route is to follow the A9 from Perth towards Inverness
and at Dalwhinnie, (just after Drumochter Pass) cut across to Spean Bridge
on the A86 to join the A82 to Invergarry and on to Kyle of Lochalsh as
above.
