Welcome to the Skye Picture House it is a small friendly, family-run guesthouse in a superb waterside location situated some seven miles north of Broadford. Enjoy panoramic views of mountains and sea from almost every window.
The Skye Picture House is situated at the tiny village of Ard Dorch, between Dunan and Luib, about seven miles from Broadford on the main road to Portree Skye Picture House AccommodationWe have five rooms available for B & B in the guesthouse:1 family (3), 1 double, 1 twin/double and 2 single. All bedrooms have: Single, double, twin and family rooms, all en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities. Colour TV. and Free Wi Fi Full cooked breakfast (or lighter alternative if you prefer). An acre of 'natural' grounds with sea-shore frontage - a haven for wildlife including otters, herons and other sea birds. This central location enables you to visit all corners of this majestic Island. Ideal for walkers and climbers situated close to the Red and Black Cuillin Mountains or launch your Kayak for the shore, pickups available. Non-smoking throughout. You will see our signpost at the road side. The track down to the house is steep but safe, and there is a car park adjacent to the building. DIRECTIONS By road: The most convenient way to get to Skye is across the bridge (toll-free now!) from Kyle of Lochalsh to Kyleakin. Alternatively, you may catch the Caledonian MacBrayne seasonal car ferry, from Mallaig to Armadale on the small private ferry - also seasonal - from Glenelg to Kylerhea. We are only about 20 minutes' drive away from the Skye Bridge. By train: The nearest station is at Kyle of Lochalsh which is on the mainland nearby. Trains run to and from Inverness, where there are connections to other parts of the UK. By coach: There are regular services to Skye from Glasgow and Inverness. These are co-ordinated by CityLink .
