comfortable house in Castle Douglas has been in the family for nearly
five decades. In the "olden days" it used to be two flats, one
up, one down.
We love visiting it ourselves, and we keep making wee improvements here and there - our regulars enjoy spotting the changes!
Galloway is a delight - so much variety in such a small compass! 45 Academy Street is really conveniently situated just along from the shops. Eat in or out, there's plenty of choice.
The house is great for a couple and has ample space for a family. We also find that small groups of walkers, golfers and fishermen appreciate it. It is a comfortable and convenient base in a delightful area.

DIRECTIONS
Getting there from the Information Centre:
From Castle Douglas tourist centre on Market Hill travel south west downhill
down King street. At post office turn left along Academy street. Cross
Queen street, 45 is the first house on your left.It is in the wide part
of Academy street opposite the car park.
