Lochside
Apartments are 2, family run, self catering apartments. These apartments
are purpose built holiday lets which were only completed in late 2010
and we are proud to be the only purpose built holiday lets in Castle Douglas.
We decided to build the apartments in this location to take full advantage of the stunning views over Carlingwark Loch and out towards the Screel and Bengairn hills as well as all local amenities being within walking distance.
Nestled on the edge of Lochside Park in the Food Town of Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway, only minutes walking distance from the towns main street. This property has everything you need for a relaxing or energetic holiday in south west Scotland, an area with some of the best scenery in Scotland, if not Britain.
Lochside Apartments Accommodation
Lochside Apartments consists of 2 adjoining units which can be let separately for up to 4 people or as one unit for bigger parties of up to 8. The apartments are set in their own grounds, just at the edge of Lochside Park with their own off street parking.
Ground Floor
To the front of the property there is a small patio area and
secure bike store.
There are two well equipped bedrooms, both with wall mounted flat screen TV’s and built in DVD players, vanity area, Ipod docking alarm clocks and ample wardrobe and drawer space.
Each bedroom can be made into either twin or double rooms, with the high quality, 100% cotton bedding. One of the bedrooms has French doors leading out onto a large patio area, which has clothes drying facilities.
Also on the ground floor there is the main bathroom with over bath shower, demister mirror, heated towel rail and modern furniture. The washer/dryer and ironing facilities are located under the stairs.
First Floor
Open plan living/ kitchen/ dining area leading out through floor
to ceiling bi-fold doors onto our large balcony area. The kitchen comprises
of modern appliances and equipment for all your needs, including dishwasher,
fridge freezer, induction hob, microwave, fan oven and ample crockery
and glassware.
The living area consist of two leather couches which look out over Lochside Park, solid oak furniture, 42” flat screen tv with satellite channels, Ipod docking stereo, dining table and leather chairs with ample space for four people.
The balcony is a large area which once the bi-fold doors are open doubles your living space and with the table and chairs on the balcony gives you a perfect area for alfresco dining with magnificent views.
There is access through the dividing fence on the balcony which can be opened up when the two apartments are let as one. This access will be locked at all other times.
Both properties are finished to the highest standards with fully tiled bathrooms, oak flooring throughout the open plan living/kitchen/dining room, gas central heating keeping the very well insulated apartments nice and cosy and oak doors and finishings throughout.
Time is required between tenancies in order to check the house before the next Tenants arrive. Occupation of the house will be given at 4pm of the first day of the let. The house must be vacated by 10.30am on the last day of the let. The property is let from Saturday to Saturday unless by prior arrangement.

accommodation with stunning views over Carlingwork Loch and Screel in
the distance. There's lots to See & Do in Dumfries and Galloway
There are many things to see and do in the area from visiting local towns and villages to getting out and about and walking down sandy beaches or exploring the Galloway Forest Park.
The area has many varied outdoor activities to enjoy including falconry, mountain biking, endless walking and fishing on local lochs and rivers. We also have a local population of Red Kites and the popular Red Kite Trial, the Galloway Forest Trail plus much much more.

Lochside Apartments are an ideal base for mountain bikers and cyclists
wishing to experience the world renowned 7 Stanes trails. 5 of the 7 Stanes
trails are within 40 minutes drive.
The Apartments have off street parking with secure bike stores and a bike wash down area and within easy walking distance to restaurants and pubs, making them the perfect base for everyone, no matter how experienced.
