Activities:
It is little wonder that the 'East Neuk' or East Corner of Fife is known
as Scotland's best kept secret. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty
and is frequented by many Scots for coastal and golf holidays. There are
lots of things to do on the Fife coast. Golf is the obvious activity due
to the high number of links courses in St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Crail
(the local course, Balcomie – is open to non-members). There are
seasonal trips to the Isle of May, for bird-watching, from nearby Anstruther.
There are also several wonderful beaches within 10-15 minutes drive from
Crail. The Fife Coastal Path offers over 150km of beautiful coastal walking
opportunities and there are quiet backroads for cycling. St Andrews has
good shopping and dining facilities. In fact, there are several notable
restaurants in the area and farm shops which provide the very best of
Scottish produce.
