Crieff HotelsWelcome to Galvelbeg House it is a high quality family run guesthouse offering Bed and Breakfast or self catering accommodation in Crieff, Scotland.

It is situated on the east side of Crieff on the main Perth Road.
The house enjoys uninterrupted views of the Ochil Hills and Strathearn Valley.

The town centre is only a few minutes walk and has an interesting selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Galvelbeg House Accommodation

Bedrooms:
Galvelbeg House has seven letting rooms in total, two twins, four doubles and a family room which can sleep up to five. All have en-suite facilities.

Each room has a TV, double-glazing and a refreshment tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits which are much appreciated after a long journey or a busy day sight seeing. There is also ample parking to the rear of the house for all guests.

Golf:

We at Galvelbeg would be pleased to help with organizing any golf requirements for our guests. From reserving tee times, arranging transport to booking restaurants, we tailor the trip to suit you.
Crieff is the perfect base for golfers. It has a beautiful course of its own and it is only a short drive from Gleneagles and Rosemount.

The three courses at Gleneagles are all World class and the PGA centenary course will be the venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup.

The Rosemount Course in Blairgowrie is also well known and is ranked in Scotland's top ten courses.
There are also courses at Auchterarder, Pitlochry, Dunblane and Callander which are in superb condition and would be a test for any golfer and a bit easier on the wallet.

St Andrews and the many Fife links are an hour at most from Crieff for those who want to mix the beauty of the Perthshire courses, with some traditional links golf.

WALKING:
Crieff is the ideal base for any walking holiday. Straddling the Highland Boundary Line, it enjoys the best of Scotland's upland and lowland scenery.
Rugged and rocky Highland mountains rub shoulders with rolling Lowland hills, carved and shaped by the majestic River Earn and its tributaries.

Built in 1894 and restored in 1992 the Galvelbeg House has a warm and friendly atmosphere which puts guests at ease with the surroundings and makes for a comfortable stay, whether over night or longer, you are sure to enjoy this beautiful house in Crieff.

Crieff itself has eight walks that form part of an extensive paths network for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Ranging from 1 to 8 miles long and covering a wide variety of terrain, the walks embrace some of Strathearn's finest scenery. You can link walks together or even invent your own, what ever you choose you are sure to enjoy the wildlife, fresh air and beautiful views Crieff has to offer.

There are also many Munro's very accessible from Crieff for the more committed walker.

We have drying facilities for our guests just in case you catch the wrong type of weather.

SHOOTING & FISHING:
With an Approved Gun Cabinet, good storage and drying facilities Galvelbeg House is perfect for hunters and anglers visiting the area. We also offer a flexible breakfast to allow you to be on the moor or riverbank at prime time.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:
There are many Outdoor Activity Centers in Perthshire which can be taken advantage off from Crieff.
They offer many activities including: Jet Biking, River Rafting, Canoeing, Powerboat Rides, Sailing, Wind Surfing and Canyoning on the water.
For those who prefer dry land, activities include: Quad Biking, Mountain Biking, Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Gorge Walking and Orienteering.
