Hawkshaw House Accommodation
The accommodation comprises 3 double bedrooms, a family bathroom, lounge,
dining room, kitchen, and conservatory. The house is listed and has a
4-star rating from the Scottish Tourist Board.
This is a no-smoking house.
Hawkshaw House provides the ideal location for a holiday, exploring the
local countryside, playing golf, fishing, cycling, or simply relaxing
and taking in the beautiful scenery.
The traditional kitchen is fully equipped and has an extensive range
of high quality appliances – grill/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave,
dishwasher, tumble dryer and washing machine.
The conservatory, off the kitchen, provides a comfortable area for breakfast
and relaxing.
The elegantly furnished lounge has TV, video and DVD and music centre
and an atmospheric living flame gas fireplace.
A selection of DVDs, videos and games are provided. The dining room has
a large table and chairs seating eight people for more formal meals. It
also has a good selection of books and a desk with a computer and free
internet connection.
Upstairs comprises three double bedrooms and a family
size bath and shower room.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom.
The second and third bedrooms are twin rooms. A further pair of single
beds can also be accommodated upon request. A cot is also available.
All beds are fitted with hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows. All bedrooms
have fabulous views across the countryside.
Linen, bath/hand towels, and hairdryers are all included, as is the central
heating and power throughout.
A particular feature of the property is the very private and well-kept
garden, full of beautiful flowers and shrubs, with lawn areas and a Victorian
summer house. Outside dining is possible with the garden furniture and
barbeque provided.
The Georgian property, built in the 1830s, has many period features and fine gardens. It provides high quality self catering accommodation for up to eight people.
Sitting in a quiet residential area, the house is just 5 minutes walk to all the town’s amenities. There are fabulous walks in the area, fishing, and a large choice of golf courses (including Gleneagles just 15 minutes away).
It is just one hour’s drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow and is in an ideal location for exploring the Scottish highlands.
