Welcome to Culross ScotlandThe town of Culross is a royal burgh in Fife, Scotland. Arriving in Culross is something of a surprise. The village looks across the River Forth to the petrochemical works at Grangemouth, and sits between the huge Longannet power station to the west and the derelict Low Valleyfield colliery and the disused salt pans of Preston Island to the east. According to the 2006 estimate, the village has a population of 395. Originally the town served as a port city on the Firth of Forth and is believed to have been founded by Saint Serf during the 6th century. A legend states that when the British princess (and future saint) Theneu
or Enoch, daughter of the King of Lothian, fell pregnant before marriage,
her family threw her from a cliff. Accommodation in and around CulrossPrice Guide - per person based on sharing room: under $40 - $41 - 70 - more than $70
