Edinburgh within 60 minutes. Glasgow within 90 minutes. Hosts John and Gill Donald have welcomed guests to two of their home for 17 years; 11 years at Todhall House, near St. Andrews and now in their 7th season at Edenshead Stables on the Fife/Perth & Kinross-shire border.

They take particular pride in striving to show their lovely home and grounds to their best advantage and both establishments have achieved 5 Star B&B Grading from Visit Scotland. John and Gill give a very personal service, working together and with Rosa & Zeta - (both Hungarian Vizlas) who are very much part of the team.

Guests will appreciate the wonderful location, looking up to the Lomond Hills and the river Eden flowing by at the foot of the garden. They are convenient for all of Fife, Perthshire and Kinross-shire, Angus and the Glens, Grampian and Central Scotland.

The house which is all on one floor is elegant, tastefully furnished, comfortable and warm. Outside nature abounds in this peaceful place..

Edenshead Stables Accommodation

Hidden behind trees, Edenshead Stables B&B is situated on the edge of Gateside village in a rural and un-spoilt location. There are fine views to open countryside and the Lomond Hills. In close proximity to local attractions, and a wonderful selection of golf courses it offers a tranquil retreat for bed and breakfast guests at the end of the day. The guests' lounge is light, airy and welcoming and leads onto the patio and down to the river beyond.

An ideal spot to enjoy the books, maps, brochures and extensive local information to help you plan your day. For that special occasion choose our double room with four poster. After what we hope will be an excellent nights sleep Breakfast is served between 7.45-8.45 a.m. (or earlier by arrangement) Guests enjoy freshly prepared food together in the dining room. Whenever possible local produce is used, including the soft summer fruits from nearby fruit farms or smoked fish from the East Coast villages.

How to find Edenshead Stables Bed and Breakfast

The access driveway to Edenshead Stables can be found in the center of the village of Gateside (opposite the junction of the A91 and A912)
From the south (Edinburgh -Forth Bridge & Glasgow - Kincardine Bridge): Follow signs for the A91 (signposted St Andrews /Junction 8). Motor north on the M90 to (J8) or Follow signs for A91 (St Andrews and Glenfarg). The small village of Gateside is 4 miles along the A91. On entering the village pass School and Station Road on right. Look for the Gateside Inn on left . The pillared entrance to Edenshead Stables is opposite the Inn between 2 fields. Come through the stone pillars and down the tree lined drive approximate 300 yards to the house.
From the north (St Andrews, Dundee, Aberdeen and the Tay Bridge) follow signs for the A91. As you enter the village of Gateside, you will pass a "Mini" garage on the left hand side. Following the road around the bed, and immediately past the field on the left hand side is the access to the pillared driveway
From Perth and the M90 - exit at junction 9 (signposted Bridge of Earn and Glenfarg) After leaving the motorway follow signs for Glenfarg (A912). Turn left at the Bein Inn, motor for 3 miles to the junction at Gateside(A91) The driveway to Edenshead Stables is directly opposite the junction. Cross the road and come down the tree-lined drive to the house.
