Glenearly Caravan and Camping Park is situated in 100 acres of open countryside just outside the town of Dalbeattie amid the magnificent scenery to be found in Dumfries and Galloway and enjoys panoramic views taking in Long Fell, Maidenpap and Barhill Forest. The predominantly adult caravan and camping park is a haven of peace for statics, tourers, motorhomes and tents. There is an abundance of wildlife on view - buzzards, yellow wagtails, woodpeckers and goldfinch being some of the varieties of birds and, of course, our resident red squirrels. You may also be lucky enough to spot a fox or a badger in one of the surrounding fields. There are also pet donkeys and ponies. Glenearly Caravan Park AccommodationWe are a peaceful family run park and take pride in keeping everything in first class condition for all our visitors. Since opening we have maintained a 4* award from the Scottish Tourist Board. The Caravan Park has fully serviced touring van pitches, static holiday homes for hire, complete with fully serviced pitches. Caravan Hire There is also a spacious dining/lounge area complete with freeview television. Each home has a parking space beside it. We include in our hire prices the cost of gas and electricity and provide all bedding. Beds are made up ready for your arrival. You will need to bring your own towels. Our hires are from 3.30pm Friday to 10.30am the following Friday, although we can accommodate long weekends and mid week breaks in the quieter months. Pet Policy Touring We also have a games room and play area. Each Spring and Summer we host a free barbeque for our regular (and new) customers. There is fancy dress for both young and old plus bouncy castles and a children's entertainer for the kids. Activities Dumfries and Galloway is one of the easiest parts of Scotland to reach from anywhere in the UK. Glenearly Caravan and Camping Park is only 11 miles southwest of the County Town, Dumfries and is ideally situated for walking, mountain biking, golf and fishing facilities. Walking Golf There are two excellent 18 hole courses in Dumfries and Southerness is a championship standard links course about 10 miles away. Mountain Biking Water Sports Bird Watching Since opening Glenearly in April 1999, we have developed a tasteful touring and holiday home caravan park in the open countryside on the outskirts of Dalbeattie. Although we do not have a shop or a bar, Glenearly is ideally situated just a pleasant 10 minute walk into the town of Dalbeattie where a variety of shops, restaurants, takeaways and bars will cater for all your needs. If you are looking for a peaceful, central location that is handy for walking, golf, mountain biking and all the other local attractions this beautiful area has to offer, look no further - we are what you are looking for. The Area Dalbeattie - a Gaelic term meaning “valley of the silver birch” is a town with some 4,000 inhabitants. Many older buildings are constructed of grey, hand-hewn granite extracted from local quarries giving the town a character of its own. The town has a variety of small businesses catering for all your holiday needs.
