We know how important it is to be able to enjoy your holiday or short
break with your beloved four-pawed friend. That's why at Parkdean we offer
dog-friendly accommodation at 21 of our award winning holiday parks, including
Southerness.
Our pet friendly accommodation comes with all the comforts and furnishings you'd expect from a Parkdean holiday home, allowing you to enjoy your holiday or short break in comfort and style with your pet.
There is a charge per dog per week, and a maximum of two dogs per booking. Please not that we have a standard pet policy.

Keep the kid’s busy with adventure play areas and kids’ clubs

nature trail. The Coast Bar & Kitchen provides the
ideal place to enjoy mouth watering meals then in the evening catch some
great family entertainment in the Sunset Showbar.

Their stories and games are often based on themes to help your little ones learn - making them great role models too.
Star landers
Star Landers is a fun club for pre-school children to 10 year olds. We
have some great new themed days and activities for everyone, as well as
fun packed evening entertainment where you can win lots of prizes from
Sid and Lizzie's prize box.
So come along and join in the fun with your Parkdean Troupers at some of these exciting events.
Freestyle Teens Club
Our Freestyle Club for 10-15 year olds is a great place to hang out, make
new friends and try some pretty cool stuff. It's available during the
school summer holidays at 19 of our parks – just look out for the
symbol.
Join in as much as you want and hang out with kids of your own age!

Situated just outside the busy market town of Dumfries, Southerness Holiday Park is well placed for exploring all that the region has to offer. From sandy dunes to forest trails, you’ll get more than your fair share of fresh air here.
DIRECTIONS
By car:
1. Head for Dumfries town centre and follow the A710 Solway Coast Road.
2. Approximately 14 miles after Dumfries, 1 mile after the village of
Kirkbean, look out for the clearly signed turning on the left down to
Southerness Holiday Village.
By train:
1. Nearest station - Dumfries, approximately a 20 minute drive from the
park
2. Main lines - Glasgow Central – Dumfries via Kilmarnock
By bus:
1. There is a bus stop within a 100 yards of the park gates running to
Dumfries and Dalbeattie. Service is infrequent running approximately every
2 hours. The approximate cost of a taxi fare to Dumfries is £12.
By plane:
1. Nearest airport - Glasgow Prestwick which is approximately 1hr 50 minutes
drive from the Holiday Park

By ferry:
1. Irish customers can sail with P & O ferries from Larne to Cairnryan.
2. Cairnryan is a harbour located approx 1 hr 40 min's from the Holiday
Park.
