Dornoch Castle has a total of 24 ensuite bedrooms situated both within the oldest part of the castle and the modern extension. There are several room types including Garden Standard, Deluxe, Superior and our award-winning Old Courtroom.
Due to the layout of this historic castle each bedroom has its own very special ambience and there are several four posters. Dornoch Castle is ideally situated for golf enthusiasts and beginners with the famous Royal Dornoch Championship Golf Course only a stone’s throw from the Castle.

The Old Courtroom and The Tower Room

in the oldest part of the Castle.
The Old Courtroom
Their award-winning room, the Old Courtroom boasts a hand-carved four
poster bed, open log fire, half paneling, stone walls and a spa bath open
to the 16 foot ceiling - indulge in this spectacular room.
Cathedral View
Their Cathedral View room has been developed from part of the original
great hall of the Palace and offers a delightful layout maintaining a
touch of history.
Tower Room
The Tower Room in the original castle building boasts a hand carved four
poster bed, log burning stove, high ceilings and designer bathroom with
jacuzzi.
Superior Rooms
They offer Superior Rooms in the unique 15th & 18th century sections
of the property and also in the modern Garden wing. These rooms have all
been refurbished with careful thought to their original atmosphere.
Garden Superior Room
There are two spacious and comfortable superior rooms attached to the
oldest part of the Castle.
