Visit Lochness and the surrounding Scottish glens, lochs, rivers, walks
and general scenery and enjoy the hospitality of the Highlands of Scotland
whilst taking advantage of this superb Loch Ness Accommodation in our
lovely Scottish Cottage built in 1840.
Ferness Cottage Accommodation
Ferness Cottage Bed and Breakfast are first rate quality accommodation
designed with you in mind.
You will find everything you need to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
Ferness Cottage is a traditional rose covered Scottish dwelling over 160
years old. The house is full of character with a wonderful garden and
bedrooms.
One is a twin room which is en-suite and the other is a double
with private shower room.
The rooms contain tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers a Television
and Central Heating.
Breakfast is served between 8:00am and 8:30am. Earlier by arrangement.
For breakfast you can expect a choice of:
· Cranberry or Orange Juice, Grapefruit Segments, Prunes or a choice
of cereals. Followed by a choice of:-
· Scottish Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs. Oak Smoked Haddock
with poached Eggs, or
· Bacon, Lorne Sausage, Baked Beans, Hashed Brown Potatoes and
Fried Egg, or
· A Continental Breakfast, including a selection of Meat and Cheese,
Yoghurt, Fruit, Toast and Croissants
· Vegetarian option available
· With Tea, Coffee or Hot Chocolate
· Packed lunches available
Guests are respectfully requested to vacate their rooms by 10.00am on
the morning of departure.
We accept all major credit cards.
Location:
Drumnadrochit is the perfect base for a Highland holiday, just 14 miles
North is the City of Inverness and 12 miles inland the wonderful Glen
Affric.
Drumnadrochit is situated along the shores of Loch Ness where the infamous
Loch Ness Monster is reputed to live! You will find it a perfect location
for all of the family with entertainment suitable for the very young to
the more mature.
DIRECTIONS:
FROM INVERNESS
Take the A82 Signposted Fort William and Loch Ness Trail , for fourteen
miles to Drumnadrochit.
Drive through the village until you see an ESSO filling station on the
right; take the next turning RIGHT (next to the Lochness Inn). Do not
cross the Bridge.
After 500 metres you will pass a red telephone box on the left, Ferness
Cottage B&B is 400 metres on the right.
FROM FORT WILLIAM
Take the A82 Signposted Inverness, to Drumnadrochit.
You will pass Urquhart Castle on you right just before arriving in Drumnadrochit
approximately a mile further on.
As you cross a small bridge take the next turning LEFT before the ESSO
filling station (next to the Lochness Inn).
After 500 metres you will pass a red telephone box on the left, Ferness
Cottage B&B is 400 metres on the right.

The Great Glen Way passes alongside the river Coiltie, which when not
in spate may be crossed (rock hopped) into the garden of Glen of Ferness
Apartments (look for the green painted house on the river bank)
Drumnadrochit is the perfect centre for outdoor pursuits. There is so
much to do in this area and yet we are also just a short distance from
sports such as skiing, as well.
