Originally a two roomed "But and Ben" Built in Mid 19th century,
Rowan Cottage Bed and Breakfast has been extended to provide a high standard
of bed & breakfast accommodation.
Decorated in neutral colours, every effort has been made to provide our guests with every comfort during their stay.
Each B&B room has quality furniture and bedding to ensure you have a good nights sleep, every night. We are accredited with a 4 Star rating by Visit Scotland.
Rowan Cottage Bed and Breakfast:
Our bed and breakfast has two en-suite bedrooms.
The upper room has a six foot super-kingsize bed and
the ground floor room has comfortable twin beds
Our upstairs room is light and airy. French doors open
onto its own private decking area where patio furniture is provided for
you to plan your day ahead, or just relax and chat about the day's activities
over that glass of wine or wee dram.
The downstairs room is identical with the advantage of the main access
and bathroom door being slightly wider to accommodate our slightly less
abled guests. There is a flower filled courtyard, accessed through the
breakfast room with table and chairs for you to relax.
Both rooms have en-suite shower rooms with heated towel rails and shaver
sockets.
Both bedrooms are equipped with TV/DVD (CD compatible), hairdryer, tea
and coffee making facilities, clock/radio alarm with Ipod docking, mini
fridge with fresh milk and water, and comfy bathrobes.
Fresh flowers, fresh fruit and a selection of books are provided in the rooms.

in whilst staying at Rowan Cottage B&B. Each room also has a full

Our freshly Aga cooked breakfasts will set you up for the day. Using only
the best in Scottish and local produce, a typical menu consists of:
Fruits & Cereals - choice of: Fresh Fruit Salad, Yogurt, Cereals,
Juices & Porridge
Traditional Scottish Breakfasts - choice of: Prime Scottish Bacon, Haggis,
Black Pudding, Local Free Range Eggs, Grilled Tomatoes, Baked Beans, Mushrooms
Daily Specials:
Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon, Kippers, Omelette
Vegetarian options and special dietary requirement available (please advise
at time of booking)
Freshly brewed coffee, tea, herbal tea and chocolateHome made toasted

Breakfast is served from 8am until 8:45am Monday - Friday. 8am until 9.00am
Saturday and Sunday. Please let us know if you require breakfast earlier.
We offer a tick box menu to complete the night before so you don't have
to wait too long before breakfast is served.
Rowan Cottage Guest House Local Area:
There are several picturesque walks in and around Drumnadrochit
and Lewiston, including a lovely woodland walk to Loch Ness shore. Divach
Falls, Urquhart Castle and The Loch Ness Visitor Centre are very popular
attractions. Boat trips on Loch Ness can be booked in the village.
Beautiful Glen Affric, Cromarty, Eilean Donan Castle, Historic Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, Fort Augustus and Fort George are just some of the places that can be enjoyed within about a two hour drive from Lewiston. We would be pleased to help you with your itinerary.
Fancy a full day out? How about a drive right around Loch Ness, a trip of about 50 miles or so. You can also visit the Falls of Foyers, enjoying the beautiful scenery all the way.
Directions to Rowan Cottage bed & breakfast:
The breathtaking Isle of Skye is less than 70 miles away, Fort William,
The Cairngorm National Park, Aviemore, The Whisky Trail and the many distilleries
are just a small sample of the many things to see and do during your stay.
There are many leaflets in the breakfast room for you to take as well
as the Information pack for you to look through.
How to get here from A9 South: A9 into Inverness. Follow
the signs for A82 Fort William and the Loch Ness Tourist route. A82 into
Drumnadrochit.
Drive through Drumnadrochit until you reach an Esso Garage on your right.
Turn right here and Rowan Cottage is about a third of a mile on the right
hand side.
How to get here from A82 Fort William: Drive through
the picturesque village of Fort Augustus.
Past Urquhart Castle on the right and Borlum Riding Centre on the left.
As you enter Lewiston you will see a small bridge and the Esso garage
beyond on the left.
Drive over this bridge and turn left into West Lewiston, you will find
us about a third of a mile on the right. Should you have got to the garage,
you will have gone too far!
