This traditional farmhouse run by Mairi Hunter is set on a 400 acre upland Beef and Sheep farm which is run by her husband Peter.

Just four miles from Dunfermline and only 3 miles from junction 4 on the M90 motorway, it is an ideal location for exploring central Scotland.

Roscobie is one of the highest farmhouses in fife, offering outstanding views south as far as the Pentland Hills. It is situated in an extremely peaceful and tranquil setting.

Listed as a four-star bed and breakfast by the Scottish Tourist Board it offers two tastefully presented and comfortable rooms with Ensuite and private facilities.

Roscobie Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

We have two double/twin rooms with ensuite shower or a private bathroom for you to choose from. All rooms include soft toweling robes, 100% cotton linen and showering accessories. A full Scottish or Continental breakfast is served in the dining room at your leisure.

Double Room with Ensuite Shower:
Flatscreen colour TV, radio, broadband, complimentary tray, heated towel rail, central heating. Can be upgraded to a family room catering for four people.

There is private parking, well maintained gardens to enjoy as well as a private sitting room for guests to relax in.

A delicious full Scottish or Continental breakfast awaits you when you arise which is served in the dining room. Mairi is delighted to cater for any dietary requests if given notice.

Breakfast is served at your convenience and may include any of the following:
Full Scottish Breakfast: egg, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, potato scone, beans, black pudding, sausages plus choice of tea or coffee and fruit juice.
Continental Breakfast: choice of cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurt, selection of meats & cheeses, toast with preserves plus choice of tea or coffee and fruit juice.

Comfortable sitting area with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.

A perfect place to relax after a busy day. There is a TV plus tea & coffee making facilities and freshly baked scones and pancakes.

Roscobie is a peaceful environment in which to unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Our 41 acres of land incorporate a small waterfall, burn and 12 acres of plantation which is lovely for relaxing walks. The breathtaking views towards the Pentland Hills in Edinburgh are spectacular on a clear day.

Local Attractions:
Situated just 4 miles from junction 4 on the M90 Roscobie is a perfect base to tour Scotland with easy access by road, rail or bus to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth.
We are more than happy to transport you to local bus and railway links. Edinburgh is only 35 minutes by bus or train over the Forth Road or Rail Bridge. It offers a large variety of shops, restaurants, galleries and theatres to suit all tastes.

Within a four mile drive is the historic town of Dunfermline where you can visit Pittencrief Park, the Andrew Carnegie Museum which tells the rags to riches story of the weaver's son who became the steel king and gave away his huge fortune! Dunfermline Abbey and Palace which date back to the 12th century are well worth visiting.

Golfing enthusiasts are well catered for with St Andrews and Gleneagles an hour away. There are many local courses within a fifteen minute drive. Walkers can enjoy a stroll along the coast or venture inland and attempt some munros.

For children there are lots of local attractions including Deep Sea World, Knockhill Race Track, or horse riding in the neighbouring farm.
