Pinegrove is a delightful cosy cottage. Traditionally built, the cottages
has been refurbished with pretty fabrics and stylish furniture has created
wonderful holiday accommodation that has a real country cottage feel whilst
being fresh, bright and modern.
Upstairs two charming bedrooms, one of which is ensuite, are inviting
and restful; whilst downstairs the sitting room with its wonderful stove
set into an exposed stone fire surround, provides a comfortable room great
for relaxing in after a days sight seeing.
The kitchen is well equipped and stylish, with a lovely dining area ideal
for leisurely relaxed dining, and together with a modern luxury bathroom
this property is an ideal base from which to tour the beautiful county
of Perthshire and beyond.
Perthshire is renowned for it's scenery both moorland and woodland,
and this can be enjoyed whether in the car, on the bike or on foot. From
your doorstep there are many wonderful walks at high and low level, and
cyclists will enjoy the variety of routes both on and off road. Enjoy
wandering round the historic cathedral town of Dunkeld with it's variety
of antique shops, galleries, gift shops and cafes.
With one of the best trout and salmon rivers in Scotland on the doorstep
perhaps a cast is the way to really unwind.
Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Kenmore and the outdoor leisure activities on offer
at Loch Tay and Loch Earn are all within easy reach. The more adventurous
may wish to get the adrenaline flowing by sampling one of the many exciting
offerings available including white water rafting, canyoning, cliff jumping
or quad biking.
You may prefer a more leisurely round of golf, with Perthshire offering
a choice of more than 40 courses including Blairgowrie's Rosemount course,
Gleneagles and a superb local course at Dunkeld.

Location:
Getting there from the Information Center
Turn right out of Cathedral Street and go over the bridge. Take the first
left after the bridge. Go straight ahead until you come to the Birnam
Institute (a wooden and glass building on the right). Turn right here
and go to the top of the road where you will see the Merryburn Hotel.
Turn left into a little track just before the hotel. There is an archway
almost immediately on the right which leads into our courtyard. Pinegrove
Cottage is in the left hand corner.
Getting There by Car
From the north: Traveling south on the A9, take the Birnam and Dunkeld
exit on the left. Turn right into Birnam and go straight ahead until you
see the Birnam Institute on the right hand side (a wooden and glass building).
Turn right here and go to the top of the road where you will see the Merryburn
Hotel. Take the track just before the hotel. Almost immediately on the
right hand side you will see an archway. This leads to their courtyard.
Pinegrove is on the left hand side.
Getting There by Railway
Birnam and Dunkeld are well served by train with main line services to
Perth, Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The station is also on the sleeper
route from London to Inverness. Pinegrove Cottage is about 5 minutes walk
from the station.

Edinburgh Airport - 1hr 15 mins
Glasgow Airport – 1hr 30 mins
Dundee – 50 minutes (direct flights from London City, Belfast and
Birmingham)

Nearest ferry port is Rosyth
