to the Art-House Morita Bed and Breakfast.
We are a Japanese owned and Japanese and Scottish managed traditional Edinburgh Mid-Victorian Grade B listed townhouse set in a conservation area of Edinburgh.
Art House Morita Accommodation
Our 3 Bedrooms:
All bedrooms are daily cleaned between 11am and 4pm and guests have the
option of fresh replacement towels.
All rooms have tea, coffee facilities and hairdryers.
The Art-House Morita Family bedroom is a spacious bedroom
with a modern electric fire set in an authentic period fireplace.
There is a King size double bed and a single bed, in addition a bed settee
which can be changed into a large single bed.
This room has a small microwave suitable for warming infants food. This
room has the original wooden shutters and contains Scottish paintings
from the mid to late 20th century.
The Art-House Morita Twin bedroom can be used as a single or twin bedroom. This room has also original wooden shutters and contains Scottish paintings from the 19th and early 20th century.
The Art-House Morita Double bedroom is used as a single or double bedroom. This room has also original wooden shutters and contains Scottish paintings from the late 19th and 20th century.
We have limited on-site car parking however we can usually arrange overnight parking nearby. Cycles can be placed in the locked rear garden.
We provide guests with a menu on the day/evening previous to select a breakfast choice, we seek to use when possible local produce, when this is not possible we ensure that the quality of the ingredient is the main criteria for your breakfast.
Breakfast is served in the dining room from 7am to 9am, a choice of “Full Cooked Scottish” breakfast is available with a “Vegetarian Choice” breakfast option, in addition cereal, fruit juice and fresh fruit salad with Tea, Coffee and Toast.
New for 2011 is an option of a 2 or 3 course dinner based on seasonal produce and a sample menu is available should you wish to consider this while you are staying.
Check Out time is prior to 10.30am on the day of departure, Check In time is from 2pm though guests can arrive prior to this to leave luggage.
Guests are asked to share 2 bathrooms between the 3 rooms.
The townhouse has been fully restored to an elegant traditional condition.
Set in its own gardens we are a ground floor based B&B situated only 10 minutes by car or bus from Edinburgh City Centre.
Our address of 3 Mayfield Gardens, Edinburgh is on the main bus route into the heart of the city. Each of our 3 guest bedrooms are beautifully restored with period features and contain many examples of Scottish Arts and Crafts.
