Bedrooms & Facilities:
All of our elegantly furnished bedrooms have newly refurbished private
facilities, together with colour television, trouser press, tea/coffee
facilities and hairdryers. We also have en-suite family rooms which include
cots and high chairs on request.
The Caravel House is home to 11 elegant well-appointed bedrooms,
including a mixture of single, double, twin and family rooms all en suite.
Guests can check in at anytime on the day of arrival and the checkout
time is mid morning on the departure date.
Our Family Rooms Can hold between 5 or 6 people comfortably.
These rooms also include their own private bathroom and shower. Tremendous
saving for a large family or group of friends.
Late checkout is available and you should arrange this with reception
staff as soon as possible. Guests can relax in our lounge and enjoy a
varied selection of refreshments. We also provide a wake-up call service
to all our guests and this can be arranged through our reception staff.
Parking is available at a daily charge, however, due to limited spaces
parking is allocated on a first come, first served basis and is subject
to availability.
We also now offer various other services such as, Room Service, Overnight
Shoe Polishing Service, Newspapers, Laundry Service, Fruit Baskets and
Flowers etc.
The majority of our En-Suite Bathrooms have been full refurbished to
a very high standard. All En-Suite Shower Units, Toilets and Wash Hand
Basins have been completely replaced and new splash proof walls have been
installed in all bathrooms.
Furthermore all refurbished En-Suite Facilities have been re-floored
with new modern tiles.
We look forward to welcoming you to our newly refurbished property and
we would love to have the opportunity to deliver to you the best service
in the industry.
Breakfast Room:
The Caravel House kitchen offers guests a choice of a Continental and
full Scottish breakfast, prepared with fresh ingredients and premiere
quality products.
Our Continental Breakfast self service buffet consists of a wide variety
of cerials to choose from, also fresh fruit, fruit juices and yoghurts
as well as brown or white toast and your choice of tea or coffee.
Our Full Scottish cooked breakfast consists of free range eggs cooked
to your liking, fried tomato, fried button mushrooms, beef sausage and
baked beans. Like our continental breakfast, you also have the option
of brown or white toast as well as your choice of tea or coffee.
The breakfast room looks out onto the caravel garden which is a pleasant
and peaceful setting while enjoying your breakfast.

The Caravel Guest House are pleased to be able to offer its guests this
special service. We can provide the following items on request:

A "Wi-Fi" compatible or "wireless Internet access system"
is installed throughout the House so that a guest from any guest room,
conference room, dining area and lounge can access the Internet at speeds
30 times faster than dialup.
Guests can connect to this network with their own wireless card (802.11b,
Wi-Fi). Access is quick and easy. For guests without a laptop a public
internet station will shortly be made available in one of our public areas.
Enjoy a hearty buffet style breakfast in the intimate breakfast room
overlooking the garden area. It is the perfect start to your day in the

Royal Botanic Gardens:
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh was founded in the 17th century as
a ‘Physic Garden’, growing medicinal plants. This first Garden
was in St Anne’s Yard, part of the Holyrood Palace grounds, and
occupied an area the size of a tennis court. It now extends to four sites
– Edinburgh, Benmore (near Dunoon in Argyll), Logan (near Stranraer
in Galloway), and Dawyck (near Peebles in the Borders), and is the second
richest collection of plant species in the world.

Founded as a monastery in 1128, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh

Scotland's turbulent past, including Mary, Queen of Scots, who lived here
between 1561 and 1567. Successive kings and queens have made the Palace
