Edinburgh's
self-catering Castle Apartment is in the center of the Old Town of Scotland's
capital. The holiday flat is in a traditional Victorian tenement. There
is a magnificent view of Edinburgh Castle from the living room window.

Castle Apartment is in Edinburgh's historic Grassmarket. This large open square was the scene of public hangings, the Porteous Riots and the haunt of the notorious body snatchers, Burke and Hare.
There is a wonderful selection of specialist shops, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep and it is only a three-minute walk to the Edinburgh Royal Mile. During the Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe this lively area overflows with street performers, musicians and special events.
The Royal Mile starts at Edinburgh Castle and leads down to the Royal Palace of Holyrood and the stunning new Scottish Parliament building. A large peaceful park, the Meadows, is only a few minutes walk away from Castle Apartment.
Less than ten minutes walk away are four cinemas including the Cameo and the Filmhouse plus four theatres including the Traverse Theatre and the Royal Lyceum Theatre. There are parking bays in the center of the Grassmarket and a large multi-storey car park is only 150m away at King Stable's Road.

The Castle Apartment living room has a couch that transforms simply into
a double bed with a good mattress and proper support. All bedding is provided.
The living room floor has a new laminate surface and a frosted glass coffee
table and additional chairs. From this second floor window there is a
superb close-up view of Edinburgh Castle across the road. There is a hi-fi
with MP3 connection as well as a TV with Freeview DVD. There are books
and reading material for the visitor to Scotland. Games and toys are also
provided for younger children.
KITCHEN
The completely refurbished Castle Apartment kitchen has everything for
a self-catering vacation.

The Castle Apartment bedroom has a quiet, calm ambience and is situated
at the back of the flat. The enormous double bed (American Emperor size)
can be easily split into two full-width singles if required. Small children
and babies are welcome with a crib available on request. The bedroom is
furnished with a wardrobe.

Black Bull pub. Entry to the apartment is through number 25, an archway
leading to number 8 at the rear.
